Our Five W's
We believe that the resurrection of Jesus Christ earned for His people the ability to walk in newness of life (Colossians 3:1-4). That life is a life that is characterized by thankfulness, love, hope, and righteousness (1Thess 5:18, John 13:35, 1 Peter 1:3). As such, we seek to walk in that newness of life through the “Five W’s.”
-
Worshiping
We believe that God calls His people to gather together so that we may offer Him our praises and thanksgiving, be strengthened by the gospel, and encourage one another in love and righteousness (Psalm 100:4, Romans 1:16, Hebrews 10:25).
-
Witnessing
We believe that God calls us to share the good news of Jesus Christ through preaching, teaching, and our lifestyle (Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:19, Matthew 5:16)
-
Walking
We believe that God calls us to share in one another’s burdens and joys as we journey through life together (Galatians 6:2, Romans 12:15).
-
Working
We believe that God calls us to serve Him through our labors performed in the church, in the home, and in our communities (Colossians 3:23-24, 1 Peter 4:10-11).
-
Welcoming
We believe that just as God has made us a part of His family and has shown us His care, encouragement, and support, so we are to show the same to others (Matthew 22:37-39, John 13:34, Exodus 20:2).
